SENIOR CITIZENS’ CHRISTMAS LUNCH
The lunch took place on Saturday 27th November 2010 in the Parish Centre.
The menu was:
Reception with special St. Patrick’s Cocktail (on the insistance of Father Phil)
Starters: Celery and Apple Soup
Main Course: Traditional freshly carved Roast Turkey with New and Roast Potatoes, selection of Seasonal Vegetables, Pigs in a Blanket, Sage & Onion Stuffing, Apple Sauce
Dessert: Christmas Pudding and Brandy Sauce or Apple Crumble and Custard
Mince Pies - Tea and Coffee - Red and White Wine served with main course
Many thanks to all who attended and made it a truly festive event, A special thank you to those who helped get the room ready, acted as waiters and waitresses, the school cook who made 70 dinners and the pianist or was it the parish organist who played festive music while the diners ate? An extra special thank you to the anonymous donor who paid for it all. Thank you very much.
